Using the positive displacement principle, where a tightly fitting piston wipes the walls of the glass-cylinder, removing the liquid completely, CAPPForte can be used for dispensing media that are difficult to handle, such as crystallizing, viscous, foaming or vaporing liquids.

Autoclavable at 121°C / 250°F, CAPPForte can also be used for sterile applications.

For use with hydrogen fluoride/ hydrofluoric acid, CAPPForte Bottle-Top Dispenser offers a specially adjusted model, called CF10-1-HF (1-10 mL), where the dispensed liquid only comes into contact with the materials of PFA, Al²O³, FEP, ETFE, PTFE, platinum-iridium and PVDF.

CAPPForte Bottle-Top Dispenser offers a range of features which increase user-safety and comfort. Locking the 3-way valve disables the dispensing function, preventing unintentional reagent flow. Additionally, the system can be evacuated without removing the unit from the bottle, and the transparent plastic sleeve protects the user from cuts and splashes in the event of the accidental breaking of glass.

Both right and left-handed users can quickly and accurately set up the desired volume using the slide-and-lock volume setting button. The discharge tube can be rotated, making the bottle label visible at any time. The telescope intake tube is easily adjustable, fitting reagent bottles without cutting.

Three PP-adapters for the most common bottle sizes are supplied with the instrument.

  • Robust Chemical Compatibility: Ideal for handling a wide range of aggressive chemicals, including reagents prone to crystallizing, viscous liquids, and foaming or vaporizing substances.
  • Innovative Positive Displacement Principle: Ensures complete liquid dispensing by tightly wiping the walls of the glass cylinder, leaving no residual liquid behind.
  • Unique Wiping Seal Technology: Prevents piston swelling or freezing, ensuring smooth, consistent performance over time.
  • Slide-and-Lock Volume Setting: Easily and accurately set the desired volume with a simple slide-and-lock button, suitable for both right- and left-handed users.
  • Turnable Discharge Tube: Enables a clear view of the bottle label at all times, enhancing workflow efficiency.
  • Adjustable Telescope Intake Tube: Fits various reagent bottles without cutting, saving time and effort.
  • Smart Rapid Prime System: Channels unused reagents back into the bottle, reducing waste and improving safety. Secure 3-Way Valve: Locks the dispensing function to prevent accidental reagent flow, ensuring operator safety.
  • Evacuation System: Allows evacuation of the system without removing it from the bottle, minimizing exposure to harmful chemicals.
  • Transparent Protective Sleeve: Shields users from splashes and glass breakage, offering additional safety.
  • Drip-Free Discharge Tube Holder: Prevents movement and unintentional dripping during use.

Benefits of CAPPForte Bottle Top Dispenser

Choosing the right bottle top dispenser can make routine liquid handling safer and easier. CAPPForte is designed for laboratories that work with challenging liquids and need controlled dispensing.

1. Better control during liquid handling

The positive displacement mechanism supports accurate dispensing, even with viscous, foaming, crystallizing, or vaporizing liquids.

2. Reduced reagent waste

The rapid prime system returns unused reagent to the bottle. This helps reduce unnecessary liquid loss during preparation and dispensing.

3. Safer reagent handling

The locking 3-way valve helps prevent accidental dispensing. The evacuation system also allows the unit to be evacuated without removing it from the bottle.

4. Easier everyday operation

Volume adjustment is quick with the slide-and-lock system. The design works comfortably for both right- and left-handed users.

5. Flexible bottle setup

The adjustable telescope intake tube fits different reagent bottles without cutting. Supplied PP adapters support common bottle sizes.

6. Added protection

The transparent protective sleeve helps protect against splashes and accidental glass breakage. The drip-free discharge tube holder also helps prevent unwanted dripping.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of liquids can be handled with CAPPForte?

CAPPForte is designed for difficult-to-handle liquids, including crystallizing, viscous, foaming, and vaporizing media. Its chemically resistant construction also supports handling of many aggressive chemicals.

Is CAPPForte suitable for hydrofluoric acid?

Yes, but the dedicated CF10-1-HF model should be used. This version is designed so the liquid contacts only specified materials, including PFA, FEP, ETFE, PTFE, platinum-iridium, PVDF, and Al₂O₃.

Can CAPPForte be used for sterile applications?

Yes. CAPPForte is autoclavable at 121°C / 250°F, making it suitable for applications where autoclaving is required.

How does the system help reduce reagent waste?

Its rapid prime system channels unused reagent back into the bottle instead of leaving it in the dispensing system.

Can the dispenser fit different reagent bottles?

Yes. The adjustable telescope intake tube can be adapted to different reagent bottle sizes. Three PP adapters for common bottle sizes are supplied with the instrument.

Can users see the bottle label while dispensing?

Yes. The discharge tube can be rotated, helping keep the bottle label visible during laboratory work.
